MAXI-WALER GANG FORMING

Standard Wedge Bolts
Steel channel Steel-Ply Forms
The Maxi-Waler System uses double 75mm steel channels
attached to Steel-Ply at 50mm O.C. vertical spacing. The channel Double 75mm
serves as both load-gathering member and aligner for the gang. “L” Aligner Channels
as Walers
Washers and 20mm Gang Waler Rods secure the steel channels to
the forms for a positive connection. J Strongback Rod provides
Vertical Walers secure connection of Walers
& Strongbacks
The Maxi-Waler System uses double channel steel walers to
transfer the load from the 75mm channels. J-Strongback Rods and 17mm Diameter Holes
Plate Washers connect to the 75mm channels at specific vertical 150mm O.C.
locations. To prevent slippage, Panel Waler Connectors and Clip
Angles are bolted to the Waler at two connection sites. 125mm Double Channel
Walers are spaced at 100mm centres for maximum form design Strongback
utilization.
127mm and 203mm Steel Walers
For maximum form design utilization, 127mm and 203mm Waler
2
sizes. Tie areas of up to 2.97M can be achieved, resulting in fewer
ties per pour and less tie patching. Welded Plate Gussets
Both 127mm and 203mm Walers are available in standard lengths
of 1220mm, 2.69M, 3.66M and 4.88M. The 127mm Walers are also
available in a 1.83M length. 125mm Waler 200mm Waler

HORIZONTAL GANG FORMING
Wedge Bolts
Horizontal Steel-Ply gangs
Horizontal Steel-Ply gang forms utilize vertical steel Walers. Horizontal Panels Gang Waler Rod
This permits the use of high capacity Taper Ties or She- or Fillers
Bolts. Plate Washer
Horizontal Steel-Ply gangs are assembled using 1800mm 12mm Nut
and 900mm panels in a “brick” pattern layout.
Waler connection Steel Walers are easily connected with Steel Waler
20mm Gang Waler Rods, Plate Washers and 12mm diameter
Contour Nuts. Walers are placed 450mm from gang ends
and at 900mm O.C. spacing.
Panel Waler Connector Gang Waler
To prevent Waler slippage, a Panel Waler Connector is Rod
attached through the Gang Waler Rod and bolted to the steel
Walers. Panel Waler Connectors can also connect the Typical Waler Connection Panel
Waler
horizontal Strongbacks to vertical steel Walers. Connector
Strongback
1500mm Walers used as Strongbacks provide stiffness and 50 x 16mm
Fit-up Bolts
horizontal alignment to the gang.
These Walers are attached with 215mm J-Bolts, Plate
Washers and 16mm Contour Nuts. Strongbacks are usually Panel Waler Connection
placed at the top and bottom of each gang.
