How our Under Path Inhibitor works
Trees take a lot of water from soil. When the soil becomes dry, pressure is created which causes it to move towards moister soil in the area (a process called matric suction). Sometimes, this shift can be dramatic and anything above it can easily become damaged—paths, driveways, pipes and properties. These can be incredibly expensive to fix.
Our Under Path Inhibitor has a pH level that is unsavoury to tree roots, which causes them to avoid the compound and find moisture elsewhere. By adding a layer of Under Path Inhibitor under your path, there’ll be no roots to disturb the soil, which keeps it secure.
Plant trees closer to paths
When used with our Root Barrier membrane, our Under Path Inhibitor allows you to plant trees close to paths, without worrying about them being cracked or raised. This reduces the need for costly future maintenance.
Under Path Inhibitor Uses:
- • Reduce maintenance: Damaged paths are expensive and time-consuming to fix. Our Under Path Inhibitor keeps your paths in one place, and reduces the need for maintenance
- • Stabilise paths and driveways: Our Under Path Inhibitor repels roots, which helps to control soil moisture around paths and pipes and stabilises them
- • Double the life expectancy of paths and driveways: With reactive soil movement minimised, your paths have a much longer lifespan
